Si c´était .........ça serait...

Aujourd'hui les étudiants de quatrième E.S.O. de français ont fait une activité très amusante pour pratiquer le conditionnel.

Ça a consisté à penser à une personne de la classe et à dire ce qui nous vient à l'imagination quand on pense à cette personne.

Voici quelques phrases:

Si c'était un animal, ça serait un lion.

Si c'était un personnage, ça serait PeterPan.

History and Customs...

In the U.S. Mothers' Day is a holiday celebrated on second Sunday in May. It is a day when children honour their mothers with cards, gifts, and flowers. Although it wasn't celebrated in the U.S. until 1908, there were days honouring mothers even in the days of ancient Greece. In those days, however, it was Rhea, the Mother of the gods that was given honour.
Later, in the 1600's, in England there was an annual observance called "Mothering Sunday." On Mothering Sunday, the servants, who generally lived with their employers, were encouraged to return home and honour their mothers. It was traditional for them to bring a special cake along to celebrate the occasion.
Many other countries of the world celebrate their own Mother's Day at different times throughout the year. Germany, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia, and Belgium celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May, as in the U.S.

Celebrating Mother's Day.

One the best way to celebrate Mother's Day is to give your mom the day off. Let her take it easy and relax while the rest of the family does the work.

Many families begin Mother's Day with breakfast in bed. Usually Dad and the Kids will let mom sleep late as they go into the kitchen and prepare her favourite meal. A Mother's Day breakfast can consist of anything your mom likes.
After the food is cooked arrange everything nicely on a tray. Don't forget the vase with a single flower. When everything is ready carefully carry the tray to her bedroom. Cards and small presents can be placed on the tray before it is presented to mom in bed.

Many Families make a special Mother's Day dinner or take mom out to her favourite restaurant for a meal. It is a good day to let your mom relax and let her see what a wonderful family she has.

M - O - T - H - E - R

"M" is for the million things she gave me,

Der Maibaum und die Walpurgisnacht.

El primero de mayo, conocido internacionalmente como el Día del Trabajador, se celebra también en muchos países de habla alemana como el día del Maibaum. Ese día se suele levantar el llamado Árbol de mayo. Se trata de un árbol desramado y alto, pintado de azul y blanco, que se adorna de guirnaldas y de escudos de las corporaciones artesanales del pueblo.En la noche del 30 de abril al 1 de mayo, (die Freinacht (la noche libre), Walpurgisnacht (la noche de Walpurgis) o Hexennacht (la noche de las brujas), hay varias tradiciones muy curiosas:

- Los jóvenes de los pueblos intentan robar los árboles de mayo de los pueblos vecinos. Si consiguen llevarse el árbol, los dueños tienen que “comprar” su árbol de mayo, pagando en barriles de cerveza.

- Normalmente se coloca en la plaza central del pueblo, y según el lugar, puede estar adornado de formas muy distintas. Para plantar el árbol, tiene lugar una procesión por todo el pueblo, que acaba en la plaza central. Allí lo plantan los jóvenes del pueblo, a la caída de la tarde, mientras alrededor, los vecinos comen las típicas salchichas y beben la tradicional cerveza alemana.

- Esa noche, llamada también tradicionalmente la “Walpurgisnacht” en conmemoración de una santa llamada “Santa Walpurgis”, se celebra un baile. (der Maitanz)

- La tradición dice que los enamorados deben ir al bosque a coger un árbol para plantarlo en la puerta de la casa de la amada. El árbol permanece allí hasta el 1 de junio. Entonces, el pretendiente que lo colocó va a recogerlo. Si le gusta a la chica, ella coloca en el árbol una invitación para comer o cenar..Además, si le gusta mucho, la madre de ella prepara un pastel, el padre una caja de cervezas, y la chica le despide con un beso.

- Además, especialmente en las regiones alpinas, existe la costumbre de subir al árbol, como lo que en España se denomina “cucaña”. El que consigue llegar arriba, recibe un premio.

- También suelen encenderse hogueras para alejar a los malos espíritus. Las parejas efectúan el Maisprung: Un salto juntos que les protegerá el resto del año de enfermedades y desgracias.
Los celtas celebraban ya con el Maibaum el 1º de mayo para celebrar la fertilidad de la naturaleza, y la transición a la primavera, cuando el mundo parecía despertar a la vida.
